Lump on top of my head?

Hello everyone.

I'm not sure if this is the right section or not.

But I have a lump on the top of my head, towards the front, just right on top above my forehead. It's a few inches wide and like a slightly raised ridge? But mostly on the left side. It seems a little fluidic when I push down on it. But not much more than anywhere else.

It has been there about 3 weeks or so? At least, that's how long I've noticed it. I went to the doctor and she said it could be skull structure but I haven't even noticed it. She said I also had an infected spot close to it, and that could cause the lump. But I have been using anti-biotic cream for the spot, and the lump has not gone down.

Well, it goes up and down. Never dramatically, but noticably. It'll feel healed one day and then be a lump again the next.

Whenever I try to look anything up all I hear about is bone cancer, and obviously the first thing to come to mind is cancer or some form, or even a cyst, that you might need surgary.

I suffer from bad anxiety and I can't even focus on anything else right now. It's driving me insane.

Please, please help me. :c

Hello!

The cream hasn't seemed to do much good for the lump, so I'm guessing they're not connected.

It keeps swelling up a little then going down again. There's no constant getting bigger or smaller pattern. But it doesn't seem to have got bigger.

People say it's just noticable because of a dent in my skull, and I am pushing on it which irritates it. I tried not too for a week, but then I felt it on the off chance and it was big regardless.

It could be nothing but it's worrying me so much. I feel dizzy, too. I don't know if that's from worry or connected.

Thanks so much for the anxiety advice. I know what that's like. I have had many conditions that proved to be passing or normal that I thought were the end of the world. I am hoping this is the same, or at least, not to dangerous.

I will keep her informed. She said to go back in a week or two weeks and see her, and it's been a week.

I can't help touching it but I will try my best not too from now on. Thank you.

Its best to keep the doctor informed as to whether the infected spot
they noted is starting to clear up or not and let them follow up with that.
They can then see whether this is related which it may or may not be.
I have had a minor bruise on my forehead swell up like that and after a while it went away on its own. The doctor would be able to keep track of it.
One thing that is important not to do is to touch it in anyway as if it is slightly inflamed that can worsen it. Also if it is unrelated to any health concern it would also do better if not pressed on. Although I don't have
anxiety disorder I do experience anxiety episodes and have thought
standard body structures were signs of an illness. This can occur
in anxiety episodes. Also its best not to look up severe health concerns
as that can easily trigger anxiety episodes.
