Hello and hope you are doing well.
The report states that there are changes in the vertebra, like osteophytes and disc bulging. This can cause compression on the nerves and consequent pain. The treatment is to remove the compression. You have to discuss the best treatment option with a neurologist, which can range from medication to physiotherapy to traction, cervical collars or even surgery.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
I am not a Dr.,just a fellow sufferer with neck pain and headaches. I like to do research and this is what I found, pertaining to your MRI. Disc osteophytes are part of the degenerative process going on in our body with progression of age.Disc osteophytes complex refers to a disc that has degenerated, bulged or herniated along with arthritis in the neck bone.
The thecal sac is the connective tissue that surrounds the spinal cord. The place where the thecal sac is indented is contoured by the osteophytes.
No neural foraminal narrowing is a good thing,as sometimes degenerative disc can cause pinched and compressed nerves in your neck.Good luck, and hope you have a Merry Christmas.God bless. Susan
