MRI report

I have been having severe migraines with numbness in my right shin as well just suffered shingles.  I just recently went for an MRI and this is one of the descriptions:  linear hyperintensity which may represent artifacts.  The radiologist had scheduled another MRI of the C2-C7 but I am awaiting the results of that one.  Can you tell me what this description may mean??? I am a bit confused.  Thanks so much.

Hello. The linear hyperintensities may not be conclusive of any condition. And in view of the radiologist who might have reported the MRI, these hyperintensities may be due to faulty image production (artifact). However, your radiologist does suspect some problems in the neck region, as shingles is know for some complications in that region. Wait for the results of the second MRI.

Hi.

MRI artifacts are not brain or spinal cord lesions. Rather, these are just features of images that either affect the quality of the MRI examination or could be confused with pathology.  In your MRI findings, it most likely represents nothing.
