MS Symptoms or am I overanalyzing?

Hi,

About a month and two weeks ago I started having numbing sensations in both of my hands, although it started out in my left hand. It primarily was associated with my thumb and my pointer fingers. That pretty much disappeared within a week and a half and then progressed to moderate joint pain in my hands, fingers, wrists, and sometimes right elbow. My chiaropractor thought it was carpel tunnel, but then the pain mostly went away. It still comes and goes.

Within a a week after having this pain subside, my upper right arm started twitching inside the muscle and eventually produced a small visible tremor. This, I'm sure, was accentuated by heavy stress at this time. But the twitches didn't really stop, they spread. My left arm started having spontaneous twitches as well and sometimes in my upper thigh in the muslce, small ones in my calves, and tics in my face (primarily on the left side involving the top cheek area and eyebrow, and the top part of left lip). I want to stress that they stop and start in different areas at different times. I do not have muscle weakness and I am not fatigued. In fact, only one and a half days did my body feel 'heavy.' Now, I am getting dull throbbing pains randomly in my muslces in addition to the random tics and twitches. I also want to stress that these primarily happen at night or when I am at rest. The twitching in my right upper arms yesterday I had when I woke up stopped as soon as I actually got out of bed. They generally stop when I move around.

I am also experiencing brain fog and mild short term memory problems. There are also times where I will say "dog of bagfood" instead of "bad of dogfood" and have done it with other phrases more recently too. I have had the brain fog on and off for years though and the short term memory problems I might be able to relate to some antidepressants or mood stabilizing meds I was on, or even ecstasy use in my past (I know it was stupid, but I was really young).

Other symtoms apparent but maybe not necessarily connected:
Ringing in ears - had for years....comes and goes....worse now. I associate this to listening to loud bass-thumping music and standing next to 10ft speakers.
Severe anxiety especially regarding health - since I was 20...am now 24
Depression - since 13
Inability to handle overly stressful situations without anxiety
Headaches (cluster maybe?) that come and go particularly at night...and have a throbbing dull ache to them in the front of my left and right sides
Brain fog - since about 17
Vertigo and lightheadedness - maybe tied to the ringing in ears
IBS - acting up badly right now...after everything I eat.
For the past week I have had a sore throat. I usually get some form of brain fog when I am sick. I'm wondering if my anxiety and stress about this situation have suppressed my immune system enough to allow me to get sick. I didn't have the brain fog problem until this week when the sore throat started.

Sorry for the book, but it is a lot of info to consider. I am just tired of freaking myself out about MS or something of that nature. I am aware of the power of stress and anxiety too, so I wonder if this is related.

I just want to say, I know how you must be feeling right now. I too am going through the same kind of situation, although my sysmtoms are slightly different to yours:

Constant Fatigue, at my worst my whole body feels tired and I really strugle with day to day life.
Legs very heavy and have pains in them all the time, and my left leg giving way.
I have a Atomic Bladder, I'm unable to void so have to Self cath now and have been for nearly 5 months.
Blurry vision
Ear noises, like a high ringing sound and gushing
Memory problems
Slurred speach

I'm not to sure if this could be MS or I'm over seeing things, i'm under the hospital at the moment about the bladder problem and feel that if I explained all this to them they would think I'm a total nut case.

I hope you get this sorted.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
hello dear Magdasz,
well i personally don't think that you have MS.
It's more of stress related. Can you take a break from your activities, switch off your cell phone for a week and enjoy?
I hope all will go.
If still it persists, let us know or meet a family physician.
regards
abhijeet
