Mild atrophy on MRI

I'm 62 and had a mild seizure after getting overheated so dr. Ordered MRI. I viewed report online which said negative but noted mild atrophy. I don't have any cognitive problems.  Is the mild atrophy normal for 62 years?

It is normal for the brain to show or have some atrophy as a person ages. Mild atrophy may not have or show any cognitive problems in some people while in others there could be a noticeable difference. There are some medical conditions that do cause the brain to atrophy but your doctor would say if you had any of them.
