Myopathy

When a Dr. tells you that you have Myopathy is that just the term he gives you until he narrows down his diagnosis?

Are you talking about Myelopathy? (check spelling) And where is it coming from?

Thanks for the response. No its myopathy. Muscle issues througout body. Crams, tenderness, soreness, weakness and feeling as if the muscles are being streched.

I would have to look that one up. How is it diagnosed?

Blood tests, EMG, and Muscle tissue biopsy.

Yes, it looks like myopathy is a term for a multitude of muscular disorders and the cause needs to be determined. Sorry that you have that and Iwould seek a multitude of opinions on the cause if your'e not comfortable with the answer.

Thanks, I'm in the process of getting an appointment with a neuroscience center. Hopefully I will get some more definitive answers from them.
