Need to know more about nerve damage caused by walking with wrong shoes??

About 7 months ago i was walking at a festival all day in sandals. By the end of the day the bottoms of my feet were burning and hurt really bad. The pain never really went away it just began to spread out more and then my feet felt tingly and numb. And then 4 months ago i started to limp and it became harder to walk without going through extra effort. I cant walk fast, can’t run, i can’t go on my tip toes anymore, and I walk heavy footed. When I wake up in the morning the lower half of my legs are stiff and it’s difficult to walk straight, but that goes away as the day goes on. I still have limited movement all the time tho. Eventually I went to the doctor and they prescribed a spinal and a brain MRI. the brain MRI came back normal and the spine MRI showed slight herniated disks but they said that that’s not the cause. Now I have to get Nerve Conduction/ EMG Tests. I’ve done a lot of research and i’m pretty sure it’s nerve damage but I want to know what the possibilities of those tests can be. What they might find? If they can repair anything that’s damaged? What the treatments for it are or could be? How long would it take for my nerves to repair and for me to start using my lower legs normally again?
