Neuralgic pain post chest tube

I recently had a chest tube (large one with Pleur-evac) inserted for a pneumothorax with effusion, and upon being released from the hospital I had severe pain and sensitivity over my lower ribs and under my breast.  It was a strange pain, and I thought it might be shingles because the pain was in the front of the ribs.  I did more research on shingles and found that the pain is extremely similar, only I haven't had a rash.  My doctor gave me some Lyrica, which I took for a few days, but it did not help and I had nightmares, so I DC'd it.  The area of the pain has been becoming more and more localized and I find that I can touch it and it does not hurt but if my shirt just slightly grazes it it's quite painful.  Sort of like a bad sunburn.  It's been about 3-4 weeks, and now it's down to about 3-4 inches in diameter and I can feel a small lump or swelling under the skin right where one rib ends.  This seems to be the source of the pain.  Could possibly there have been internal damage during the chest tube insertion?  Any suggestions for the pain?  Any idea if it will resolve on its own?  This is very frustrating.

OMG!  My sister's boyfriend went threw this recently!  And what we found out was that the nurse had inserted the tube improperly and had caused damage to his nerves!  They put a lawsuit against the hospital!  Edgar Snyder is thier lawyer!  So you know that it is definately legit!  Now I have to tell you that on the 7th of November my sister's boyfriend passed away from an overdose of heroin and Xanax.  He was a prior heroin addict for three years and had been clean for two to three years until the hospital did this to him!  No meds that they gave him were able to take away the pain away because his tolerance was so high from the prior drug use.  So my sister lost her significant other of ten years and he also left behind thier 8 year old daughter!  ALL BECAUSE THE NURSE PUT A CHEST TUBE IN WRONG!  I know that it was his decision to use the drugs, but I know that he would not have used them if he would not have been in so much pain!  The Pain Management Team is the one who informed my sister's boyfriend of what they believed happened to him!  Can you go to them?  PLEASE!  Make these people pay!  I look at my sis and she is so empty and lost it is just heartwrenching!  Keep me posted!
