I have both gastroparesis and small bowel dysmotility. They both cause nausea and vomiting. So sorry you're going through this. I ended up with the enterra therapy (stomach pacemaker) cuz my gastroparesis was so bad.
Hope you start feeling better.
Hi there. Causes of vomiting could arise from the gastrointestinal tract like acute gastritis caused by infections, helicobacter pylori and rotavirus, food poisoning by salmonella, E.coli, peptic ulcer disease and gastro esophageal reflux disease. Central causes are migraine headaches, meniere’s disease of the inner ear, heat exhaustion, head injury, pituitary adenomas. It can be seen in association with diseases like diabetes, hepatitis, gall bladder disease, pancreatitis, kidney stone or failure. Vomiting can occur as a side effect from various drugs like painkillers both steroids and non steroidal medicines like ibuprofen, antibiotics and bowel obstruction.
You have this for 2 years now causing significant weight loss so it needs immediate attention as it could be a chronic infection or pointing towards a bigger diagnosis.
Please consult a physician as soon as possible and let him do a detailed examination. The above causes give you a clue what all systems could be involved. Best of luck and keep me posted.
