Pressure headache

What can I do for my pressure headache?  I have been prescribed Fioricet andit usually works, but sometimes it doesn't.  What can I take as an alternative?  I have been suffering now for 3 days and just cannot take it any more.

Hi there. Fioricet is a combination of butalbital, a barbiturate, acetaminophen and caffeine. These are indicated for tension headaches and headaches due to muscle contractions.  They are also used for migraines and other pains. This can cause repeat headaches with overuse. Other alternatives are phrenilin similar but without caffeine. Esgic plus and phrenilin Forte have higher dose of acetaminophen. Others like fiorinal containing codeine in combination. it is best to get back to your neurologist and get a prescription for alternatives.
