Possible nerve damage from epidural??

I receive an epidural during labor over 6 weeks ago, it was very painful and didn't work for me.  Following birth from my knee to hip front to back and outside of leg ( not inner thigh ) was numb, and if I used my back muscles a certain way Id get the same painful/shooting/tingling sensation in that part of my leg ( same as I got when the epidural was being placed)  about a week later it became just numb and about a week or two after that it became painful in a burning sensation.  If I slightly touch my leg it feels numb but if I brush it or bump it, even when just walking if the skin moves I get this horrible burning pain.
What does this sound like?  Advice?  Thank you!

Well....dear, this could be a number of things and I wouldn't even dare to speculate on this.  This is NOTHING easy to pinpoint to a "couple" of things.  The list could be endless.

Sounds like a nerve impingement or nerve inflammation.

Well, good it isn't anything terribly bad.

This should resolve.  Hopefully there isn't a clot.

Keep us posted.

My appointment went great, the doctor thinks the anesthesiologist may have stuck the need back into my back after the catheter was placed and hit a nerve.  Hes assuming I have a bruised nerve and sending me for an MRI to make sure there isnt any blood clots.

Definitely sounds like something going on with your spine.  What exactly happened I am not sure.

Is your OB/GYN aware of this?  You should be referred to a Neuro to have this followed up.
