Scary dizziness- please help!

Hello, so for the past 4 months, I have been experiencing dizziness (sensation of rocking movement like on a boat or gyroscope). It comes and goes ,but I notice it more when eating and  using the bathroom. It is very frustrating and scary that I have had it for so long. I have had occasional pressure in my teeth and face and have heard a whooshing sound in my ears before..Additionally, I have also been experiencing a buzzing in my left foot. 1 year ago, I had and MRI which came out clear (but I wasn't having these symptoms at the time). I went to an ENT and he said that the type of dizziness I describe doesn't sound ear related (though I am going to have dizzy tests done).. I have a neurologist appt in a month and am terrified of getting bad news. What else could be causing this type of dizziness. Does it sound like MS? Please help!!!

Oh no.  I know about this as I had similar for over a year.  The vertigo is terrible (for me, it was debilitating in which I was nauseated and really immobile from it), the whooshing in the ear like the ocean when I moved my head, etc.  I finally sought the help of an ENT.  My issue was all in my inner ear.  I was diagnosed with Eustachian tube dysfunction.  It was collapsing in.  What helped me was reverse ear pops which the ENT showed me out to do.  Hold your nose, and blow into the closed nose. This will cause your ears to pop.  I did this over and over again.  No joke, this simple thing rightened my eustacian tubes (with one being the actual one that had issues).  That sure beat surgery (which I would have signed up for willingly if necessary though as I was so frustrated by the symptoms!).  Since you describe pressure in teeth and jaw/cheeks---  that indeed sounds related to ear and sinuses.  Do you at times feel a fullness in your ears, think you may hear tones differently or have any ringing?  Anyway, visit your doctor and if they can't help--  ENT is the specialty you need to see in my opinion.  My issue got progressively worse to it was occasional to more chronic. Let us know how you are doing.  good luck

I am hoping it is inner ear related and not something neurological. What type of dizziness did you experience? Mine is not like the room is spinning, but rather I am rocking on a boat/false sensation of movement. How did they diagnose the ET disfunction? Doctors have looked in my ear (briefly) and said they didn't see any fluid in my ET. That is what has started to worry me the most about something neurological. I do sometimes feel fullness in/around my ears and have heard whooshing sounds before. Let me know what you think. Thanks so much for your help!!
