Severe Stenosis, EMG Normal?

My MRI showed severe stenosis C5-C6
I have constant pain neck,shoulder,arm, tingling in fingers and bottom of foot in the morning.Yet my EMG shows normal? Any help please

I Ended up having ACDF at c5/c6
I am post op almost 3 months

Hi, there. You have spinal canal stenosis at C5-C6 level which is affecting the spinal nerve roots exiting at that level and hence the nerve distribution  the neck, shoulder, arm, fingers. The foot may be involved due to lumbar nerve compression.
Electromyography on the other hand is used to diagnose diseases that may be classified into one of the following neuropathies, neuromuscular junction disease and myopathies. This should be normal because the etiology is not related to either of these.
So consult with a neurosurgeon along with your MRI and he will best guide you about the course of treatment. Take care.
