Son concussion/NO SYMPTOMS/saying hydrocephalus

Son-football /light concussion.drove car home. later in night vision bothering. Brother takes him ER.Got CT scan/radiologist -enlarged lateral ventricles/third ventricle/clinically diagnosed "hydrocephalus".Son woke up next day100%. No headache/naseua/eye prob.  Son goes to pediat. -says needs to see neurologist. Got MRI. Neuro surgeon seems fast press to brain surgery.  SON HAS NO SYPTOMS.  Vision tested 20/20 no optic nerve pressure/No tumor/cyst Some blockage -genetic from birth in 3rd ventricle.  He said blockage = surgery. Wouldn't admit diffuse CSF happening.Prefer to monitor and get future MRI.What you think?

I think you lack the expertise to know.  I'd get a 2d opinion and see if a different specialist agrees.  If I'm reading this correctly, the surgery isn't due to the concussion but something found because of the concussion causing you to get diagnostic testing done.  But I would get a 2d opinion unless the near-surgeon and the testing saw something urgent.  A lot can be wrong without symptoms.
