I have had tingling, burning, numbness RT side of face from neck, lips tongue and around the eyes since 2009. I have gone to a neurologist had two MRI's of the neck and head. The neurologist basically said nothing can be done since there is nothing showing up on the MRI. My Chiropatric stated this is probably Trigemenal Neuralgia.
What is the treatment for this and will this get worse (painful) without treatment in the future.
Hi,
It is very sad as this is happening to u, but you have not made it very clear as to what is your concern. Any type of tingling, burning, or numbness is usually a symptom related to a sensory nerve being damaged, diseased, or injured. There may be some damage to the blood supply of the nerve.
The nerve involved in this is Trigeminal nerve. Any infection at the root of nerve or compression due to any mass occupying lesion will cause similar lesion.
Have u undergone any dental extraction recently.
I would suggest u to meet a neurologist.
