Tendon Transplant Surgery

I read someone's post about having tendon replacement surgery done after dealing with foot drop for quite a while. Ideas wondering if anyone else has had this fine and can make recommendations on a surgeon or surgical center that does this. I found one in Dallas but that's it.  The surgeons don't specialize in this where I have been before and I want someone who is very familiar with the surgery. I use to be so active and now it is very difficult to do anything close to what I did before. I wear a brace all the time. Whether it's exercising or projects around the house or for work it take me twice as long and I have to take pain meds all the time. Not sure if tendon surgery will help with that or just allow me to pick up my foot.
The sciatic issue comes and goes all the time because I can't do what I'm suppose to so I compensate elsewhere. The lower leg pain I have been told would be releaved somewhat because I won't be swinging my leg forward with the muscles and tendons around my knees

Any comments are welcome

Thx
