I cant get good sleep im afraid to go to the doctor. I know this could be stressed related because i am stressed out a lot and have anxiety bad but sometimes when im relaxed too this happens.

I have been having this exact feeling for the last week. I feel it like a cold chill but I’m not cold. Like goosebumps in various places coming and going. And also along my scalp like “hair standing on end”. I’m afraid of what all this means. I don’t know what could be causing it.

I just recently started having this same thing sensation.  I slipped on my stairs and fell awkwardly and at the time the ER only xrayd my left leg because that's what was hurting the most. The hairs can be seen visibly and only on my right side (arm & leg) There is a bruise on my the right lower back  and I hit my head on the last step as well so, I'm leaning towards injury related. NOT mental issues as the first response indicated, at least not in my case.  This doesn't relate to chills, coldness, stress or any other outside or psychological factor.  The ONLY logical explaination in my case would be due the recent injury. So I'm leaning towards neurological or injury to the cervical & lumbar spinal area.  I go to the doc tomorrow.  I hope its nothing serious.  God Bless!

Hi there. Standing up of hair on the body sensation Is majorly stress and anxiety realated.  You need to meet a psychiatrist and describe these symptoms to him. There should not be an organic cause for this. however a detailed sensory neurological examination is to be carried out by  a neurologist to look for any paresthesiae. I cannot comment further over the internet.  These symptoms have to be seen in the light of your present mental makeup and friability. Hope this helps. Take care.
