I did not come to a conclusion, it is one of my differential diagnosis based on the history you have presented, but you have to understand that memory loss and brain damage can be felt with residual problem after years of usage also.
Cannabis has psychoactive and physiological effects when consumed. The minimum amount of THC required to have a perceptible psychoactive effect is about 10 micrograms per kilogram of body weight.Aside from a subjective change in perception, the most common short-term physical and neurological effects include increased heart rate, lowered blood pressure, impairment of psychomotor coordination, concentration, and short-term episodic and working memory. Long-term effects are less clear.
So it is a possibility and please consult a good neurologist, diagnosis and MRI may help.

The marijuana 4 years ago never really affected me. It did to a certain extent which is why I stopped using it. I had zero symptoms like I have now for the over 4 years since I stopped using it. There was really no set instance that I can think of that triggered it. I just woke up and it was there and now its steadily getting worse. I don't smoke and only have some alcohol when I rarely do. I really don't think the small amount of drug use 4 years ago would suddenly cause the extreme onset of these symptoms. It just doesn't make sense.
I think the marijuana has taken the toll, do not drink alcohol, no drugs or no smoking. With proper diet, in fresh fruits, nuts and balanced diet with exercise over a period of time you will gain your memory. Consult a neurologist who will help you out with a plan. Take care!
