Last night I was lying on the couch on my right side, head propped up on the arm rest. I pushed myself up with my right hand, in which I felt an odd pop and then was completely unable to move my wrist or any of my fingers for about one minute. I was fearful that I somehow broke my wrist in that moment but luckily that is not the case (no pain, full function restored at this time). I did other types of sensations (rubbing, tapping of the lower arm through finger tips) and sensation gradually returned, with tingling that lasted another 1-2 minutes.
I do often get numbness and tingling in my hands (ulnar nerve compression, I assume). I assume something similar happened last night but it was startling and concerning as I was completely unable able to move my wrist and hand, which I have not had happen before.
