What could cause calcifications?

I have had brain calcifications since I was at least 19 when they first found them when I became extremely ill with motor control issues. At first, they suspected sudden onset of Fahr's, but I recovered and with rehab i was able to walk and talk again and live a normal life. There was no official diagnosing for what happened to me..  I am 36 now.  I recently had a fall off a horse and had to have a shoulder ct done to make sure I didnt dislocate it, but they did a brain ct just to be safe there was no concussion. It came back with:
Small arachnoid cysts are noted along the middle cranial fossa
bilaterally. There are areas of calcification noted in the left dentate
nuclei.
I know the worst thing to do is to look up something on the internet, but Fahrs came up. Except all the cases seem to be symmetrical calcifications not just one sided.
What could cause left dentate nuclei calcifications?
