White patch on MRI

Hi im so stressed

I have had symptoms for some time now and couldn't for years get a GP to send me to a specialist
My MRI was normal but I just new it couldn't be correct
I booked in with a neurosurgeon for a cyst on my back, that got me on the door
He looked at my MRI as it was done at same hospital
He said its not clear and my heart hasn't stopped racing since :-(

At the right of the brain stem there is white and he said its consistent with what they see when someone has lost oxygen to the brain
That hasn't happened to me
He said also it is seen in people who has strokes of the stem cell (not sure if he said cell)
Im so scared and can't get a new MRI till 6 weeks
Im in so much pain
The right side of my body goes numb with pins and needles
Im having a lot of migraines and a feeling like something is attached to the base of my skull and trying to pull me to the ground
I now have neuropathy pain and it's hell
It's ao painful I've had to take medication to block Out some of the pain not all pain goes
Can shingles / herpies virus cause damage in the brain stem?
Neurologist didn't say I didn't think to ask
What would it be will I be ok?
