Involuntary Movements of Arms & Legs

Starting about a month ago I began to experience involuntary jerking of my left arm.  The jerking is pretty severe but painless.  It occurs most often when not using the muscle.  Starting about a week ago I am getting the jerking in my right arm and less often in my right leg.  I do not think this occurs in my sleep, but is very active when in a resting state which makes it hard to get to sleep or back to sleep if woken during the night.

I'm 57 years old. Male. Have no known health issues.  Any ideas?

I don’t know man but I experiencing exactly what you have described; paranoid it was early sign of Parkinson’s or summat!!! Can’t find any answers, every time I mention it to doc I get hauled into nerve hospital as a emergency with ‘suspected Cauda Equina’ but they quickly rule that out (for the umpteenth time) and then pass it off as my age (45!!!) or the fact that I’ve had radiotherapy in the past!!! I don’t see any replies on here but if you’ve found any joy elsewhere; I’d really appreciate a ‘heads-up’ if you wouldn’t mind?
Best and Kindest regards,
