Hi,

How are you?
The diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease is difficult especially in the early stages. Medical history, mini mental state examinations are usually done to make the diagnosis.
In the later stages CT scan will show the characteristic brain lesions. A MRI scan will help to rule out other causes of the symptoms like stroke or brain tumors. It may sometimes show the structural lesions as well.
Hope this helps!
