auto-immune?

I am a 59 year old woman.  I have been experiencing intense tingling sensations throughout my body, heat intolerance, fatigue, dizziness, insomnia, and increased salivation.  I had a fall in Jan. 2010 with a hairline fracture at C3 and concussion.  I experienced a "thunderclap" headach in May 2010.  I was sent to the ER.  The MRI showed nothing.  The LP showed only that I had a possible virus.  I was also given ECG...and stress test.  It is not cardiac.  I have been to my family practice physician at least 4 times with these symptoms.  As the hospital neurological tests were negative, he is telling me that this is psychosomatic.  I do have a history of PTSD.  I have recovered and am very happy and stable.  These symptoms are present 24/7...even waking me up at night.  My PCP says it cannot be MS.  He refuses to refer me.  What now?

I had a mild traumatic brain injury and have most of your symptoms.  It is Post Concussion Syndrome probably.  There is no one pill or treatment if it is PCS and you have to treat the symptoms individually.
good luck.

It could be anxiety and/or depression.  All of your symptoms are quite common with these disorders.  Check out the anxiety and depression forums for more info if interested.
