Why do I see stars when I turn my head to the left behind me for too long?

I've noticed that when I turn my head and neck to look behind me on my left side that when I turn back I see stars. Why and is this dangerous?

You mean you see like little floaties?  I always think it is dust and it means I need to clean more but know that's not really the case.  ha.  But, I'm guessing you are speaking of this.  It happens all the time?  These are usually called floaters to be exact.  Here's an article on them.  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/eye-floaters/symptoms-causes/syc-20372346  I was told to watch out for them when pregnant with pregnancy hypertension as it was a sign my blood pressure was getting too high.  But usually they are related to your retinas.   MedHelp has an eye care forum and this would be a good question there. A doctor is on the forum there to help you.  I would think it is usually not a big deal but if this is new, then you may want to run it by a physician.
