Since this bacterium has flagella and moves through the stomach lumen and do colonization in stomach that result into chronic gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach lining. Investigations include blood antibody test, stool antigen test, or with the urea breath test. However, most consistent method for detecting H. pylori infection is a biopsy check during endoscopy, rapid urease test, histological examination, and microbial culture.
