lump on my eyelid

ive had this small lump recently on my eyelid (its almost practically on my eyeleashes) i noticed it around 2 months ago, it gets itchy, sometime hurts as if my eyelashes just got pulled off,
my mum said it was nothing,
except around the first week i noticed it my friends started pointing it out n i complained to my mum about it but she says its just skin.
Then i just lived with it until last week where you could RLLY see it
It was so itchy
I EVEN TRIED POPING IT ( to painfull to pop)
Thats when my dad saw it from across the table he was like :O
so they are trying to book an appointment with the docz :(
any idea what it could be? :(
Im 15 by the way,
And i barely wear make up :( Maybe like eyeliner once every 2 weeks ::(

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello there and welcome to the medhelp forum. This lump could be a style or a chalazion. Stye is caused by blockade in the oil gland of eyelid followed by acute infection. Chalazion is caused by blockade in a modified oil gland of the eyelid and can become red, warm and painful. Consult an ophthalmologist for evaluation. Treatment would include warm compresses of the lump, systemic anti inflammatories, sun protection, topical antibiotics and good nutrition. If it does not resolve with medical therapy, drainage by the doctor would be required. Wishing you all the best.

Well, this is the neurology department, which has to do with the nervous system.  HOWEVER, I CAN tell you what it is you have.  It is an ordinary boil, children and younger people get them, usually right on the eye or eyelid, which it's basically a clogged pore only infected a little, which will make it swell up, be red and itchy, and in general look awful and feel even worse.  So, the good doctor will at least give you pills to take to kill the bacteria, he might even lance it, he may put some sort of non-irritating medicine on it, and sometimes you'll wind up with a white bandage patch over your eye for a little while.  If your doc doesn't know what to do, by golly ask that doc to refer you to a dermatologist, THEY know EXACTLY what to do.  Dermatologists are skin docs, they are expert in anything that has to do with the skin acting up.  Sorry your bump has gotten so out of hand, but such is the nature of boils.
