nerves and muscles

I suffered with neuropathy and ended up having surgery for a bulging disc, a pinched nerve and spinal cord damage.  Neuropathy is still present.  I get what I call muscle freezes.  It feels like an electric current is run through my body.  My whole body will freeze and I cant move for a few seconds.  It can occur when I try to sit up, stand up, straighten my leg, reach behind me to adjust a pillow....some times it hits me harder than other times.  The neuro thinks its in my brain, but it didn't show up on a 72 hour eeg.  To me it feels muscular or nerves.  Any ideas?  The last few days have been horrific.

Im with Brandywinne. I have the exact same thing. My doctors explained it to me that it is the nerves way of compensating for the loss of feeling. Basically they go into overdrive on what they can control. Some people will also have hot or cold spots, muscle twitches ect. You may ask your doctor about valium, I take it and it helps a lot. Best wishes.
