paraesthesias

Hi,
For the last few weeks I've been feeling a rush of goosebumps down my legs.  It started in the right leg but now it's down both legs.  I think it may be related to anxiety but I want to rule out more serious causes.  I've recently seen a neurologist who told me I'm normal and to eat more bananas and tomatoes to stop my muscle twitching.  Could this all be part of benign fasciculation syndrome?
I also feel as though I've an internal tremor a symptom at which my GP raised his eyebrows.  He insists it's anxiety.  Can anxiety make me feel like this?
My muscle twitching and tremor began around 4 months ago and I was under enormous stress at the time.  I don't have any weakness or loss of sensation.  My neurological exam was normal as was the MRI.  I had a baby 9 months ago and I am 35 years old.  My health was excellent until I started feeling all these weird sensations.

I definitely would recommend going the homeopathic route vs the traditional meds given for anxiety.  Alot of them do have side effects that can cause more problems.

All the best.

My GP gave me some Diazepam to take for a week but I still felt as bad once I'd finished the course.  Last week, he prescribed venlafaxine but I haven't taken it yet as the side-effects sound like they'd make me feel worse!  I was thinking of consulting a homeopathic psychiatrist for a more natural solution.
My GP has been my doctor all my life and he assured me he'd know if there was anything wrong.  He even gave me a hug because he felt so sorry for me!

Believe it or not anxiety can cause all that you have mentioned.  Were you given any recommendation about how to manage your anxiety?  Sounds like you have been cleared for anything physically wrong.
