What a coincidence finding your post,  I think my son has Post Strep Reactive Arthritis,  and I was taking a break from researching that to browse around on this board.

Are your joints swollen and red and hot?

You may try looking up Reactive Arthritis on the net.

Best wishes.

Hi, I have some weird post viral thingy myself. I don't get the chronic fatigue, dizziness or nausea but have muscle aches and tightness some of which comes and goes throughout the day and is really painful, other muscle tightness which just stays constant mainly in my left leg and hips. I have a weird sensation in an area of skin on the back of one leg, my muscles tire easy from doing normal housework, etc. All of which started when I got a bout of mild flu 11 weeks ago. I've had 3 blood tests 2 came back clear am still waiting on the 3rd one. A CT scan on my leg ( because of the skin sensation ) nerves were fine. Have been to 3 different doctors one said it was back pain, another said it was all in my head the third said I needed magnesium ( which I have taken for ages anyway )  Just started going to a 4th doctor he seems to be leaning towards an immune system imbalance ( believes it's possible my immune system didn't shut down after fighting off the flu virus and that's what's causing the tiredness, aches and pain ). At present he's put me on a diet to try an balance it out ( it's a diet for IBS ) and has me drinking a herbal tea consisting of Lemon balm ( also known as Melissa ) Peppermint and Chamomile every day as well as taking Inner health, Magnesium, Fish oil, glucosamine, Vitamin D and a multi vitamin as well as drinking heaps of water. I go and see him in another week and a half for my latest blood test results and to work out our next move. I understand how you feel I just want some answers myself as it's very depressing feeling like this every day and whats worse for me is my mother contracted that flu off me and is suffering with similar post viral symptoms as well only her muscles ache alot worse than mine we're both going to the same doctor if you like I can keep you updated on how we're going and what he says.
Take care
Kathy

Had antibiotics and steroids 8 times since march due to different parts of the body being "ill"  though first viral infection was last November. So tired all the time and back and leg muscle pain and feel very weak.. Had more antibiotics for blood inflammation which apparently has cleared though blood Viscocity shows sign of having had virus. Tried pain killers now trying Amytriptaline as this supposed to help with depression too as am feeling very low.Last week it was PMR now this week its PVF. How long is this going on for sick of feeling tired and no energy,Anyone got any time scale.
