quadriceps, tibia anterior, and triceps weakness, dizziness

Hi,

I have been suferring from strange symptoms for over 8 months. It started with a headache on the left side, then could not really move my toe of the right foot, then I had a spread (uniform) pain, stiffness, and weakness. I started to feel dizzy and light headed afterwards. It's improving, but I still feel weakness, pains, and twitching on mostly the quadriceps, tibia anterior, and triceps. I heard about ALS, and also fibromyalgia. The pains and weakness often travel.

Does anyone can help what kind of disease/disorder is this? Thanks in advance...

Hi, you are not saying what kind of diagnosis you have or what your doctors are saying. From your description, it is not clear why you can not walk. I know a number of people (including myself) who can not lift their legs off the horizontal position, have muscle weakness in the back and other parts of the body, but still can walk, though with difficulty, of course. You really need to give a more specific description of your problem for other people to be able to give you an advice. You sound like you may need anything from a very serious medical treatment to just a good deal of exercise.

Are you homebound?  Your doctor can request home health to come see you for physical therapy.

Have you seen a doctor?  Do you have a walker?  Have you been diagnosed with a disease?
