Hello, I need help understanding the results in laymans terms my dr is out on vacation but would like to know what the findings mean. I had 1 disc replacement surgery already but my C5-C6 is acting up. The findings are as follows
No obstruction to cranial progression of myelographic contrast to suggest significant central stenosis. C4-C5 artificial disc replacement post operative changes with insignificant under filling of right C5 nerve root on conventional myelogram.
C5-C6 mild to moderate broad based right paracentral disc protrusion / osteophyte deforms cord and contributes to mild to moderate left greater than right C6 nerve root sheath underfilling on conventional myelogram. Root sheath under filling is less impressive on CT Scan. Moderate right C7-T1 faucet joint degenerative changes.
Impression:
C5-C6 broad based central/right sided disc protrusion/osteophyte causes mild to moderate cord deformity and appears more prominent than on prior MRI Scan. non specific mild left greater than right C6 nerve root sheath underfilling on Conventional myelogram is less impressive on post myelogram CT Scan.
What does this mean?
Help, any insight is helpful in laymans terms
Thank you
