Hi,
How are you?
There is a possibility that the swelling in the temple is a pulsing vein. Pulsing temple veins are seen in stressful situations.
Other possibility can be temporal arteritis and as swollen lymph node.
Since you have right sided facial pain also the possibility of migraine is also there. I would suggest you to relax and make sure you eat healthy, avoid caffeine, drink plenty of water and be physically active. Please check with your OBGYN about mild OTC pain killers.
Hope this helps!
thanks for the imput. Quick question. In your opinion, could the right fronal AVM and the dilated vessel on the right side of my temple be related since there is increased intervascular blood flow during pregnacy causing pressure to the trigeminal nerves?
Hi,
Since you have had surgery for AVM it cannot be the cause of pulsing temple vein unless it has recurred.
AVM is a collection of blood vessels with abnormal connections so it is possible that this AVM in the right frontal region is connected to the temple vein. Nothing can be said for sure without a clinical exam and CT scan or MRI.
There is increased blood flow during pregnancy due to increased circulatory volume of blood, this can itself cause pulsing and visible veins.
Is there a need for a possible biospy of this vessel that is painful upon palpation or touching
I have this pressure on the right side of my face with headaches and the odd time my right side of face will drop. I have alot of face pain to. I have gone to hospital and the give me meds for migrane. But I allso have nerve problem in my neck.I have fibromyalia and OA. So its hard to determine what the cause is. I had my hair cut and right in front of the hair dresser my face drop. They thought I was having a mini stroke. Would that be possible?
Thank you
It would be nice to get your opinion
