Yesterday was my first appointment with the neurologist. I have a bunch of test I have to get done, then follow up in 2 months. They said it wasn't a tumor. They are more concerned right now with the spot that lit up with the contrast on my mri, than the white spots to start out with. It just make me really mad that I have been telling the dr for years about these headaches and dizziness. I recently started to see a new dr. and that's the first thing they did was send me for an mri. She said I should have had an mri along time ago.
My wife had a similar issue 10 years ago, her's was on the right side of her brain, it was a benign tumor, I cannot even pronounce it let alone spell it. They did a biopsy first to make sure it was benign. Other things can show up also. Try not to stress about it too much until you see the neurologist. Please go see the neurologist. My wife ended up having her tumor removed which was the size of a golf ball. This is why she had been having headaches for several years, They were not able to get all the tumor out but she has regular MRI to track the growth. Also make sure you get a second opinion. The first doctor told her it was nothing to worry about and told my wife it was like a breast cyst that women get. a week later she was having surgery. Almost all brain tumors are treatable if that is what it is. Please follow up with doctor and do not take this lightly.
