subdural hematoma

I had a subdural hematoma emergency surgery on april 26, 2007 after 14 days of constant headache on the right temple area. An old bleed was found, as well as a fresh bleed. It caused 10mm  of midline shift to the left.
I was asked if I had bumped my head or fallen lately. The only serious fall I had was Dec 28, 2005.
The physicians did not think it was possible that it was that long ago.(16 months).
I think it is possible because that whole year I noticed I was more irritable and anxious and my arms were weaker than usual. During that timem I exercised and used my inverse table.
Do you know if it is possible that I could;ve had the slow bleed for 16 mths prior?

Can you explain more about comas, brain stem bleeding and reflexes on patients who have undergone surgery for a subdural hematoma?

Hi.

It is highly unlikely that the injury sustained in 2005 led to the new bleed seen 16 months after.

Some causes of subdural hematomas, other than trauma, include coagulopathies, ruptured intracranial aneurysms, as well as some intracranial tumors.

You should consult your physician and rule out these other possible etiologies of the intracranial bleed.

Hope this helps.
