My father is 63yrs old and he is facing a problem from the last 2months.When he talks or when he becomes excited ,in his left hand especially in the thumb and the fingers of left arm tremor starts.
he is a patient of hypertension and fluctuating blood pressure.this problem has started from last month. Is it because of anxiety and tension or some other reason.
When he is carrying something in his hand,OR when he is writing something his hands are shaking.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
Tremors may be caused by-overuse of caffeine, normal aging, stress, anxiety, fatigue, side effects of medications, low blood sugar levels, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, Overactive thyroid, Stroke, Brain tumour or any other brain, nerve or movement disorder. It could be a part of normal aging process for your father. But it is always better to go for a check up and rule out medical conditions. Please consult a physician for a complete check up. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!

My wife has what is called essential tremor, or familial tremor.  It could be that.  Google it and see if his symptoms are similar.
