I've injured my neck at work, and had disk promblems in many levels in my neck. (levels c3-c7} I went to see a pain specialist and she wanted me to give me a series of three shots to manage the pain.  The first cortisone shot didn't seem to hel.  On my neck visit, the doctor gave me the second shot.  It was given to me on my back near the shoulder blade are.  I immediately screamed, I receive a shooting pain into my left upper part of my head.  Ive never felt this kind of pain before.  Now, whenever my muscles get tight in my back and neck, this pain occures.  I can't think or concentrate on anything.  When I got this shot, did this doctor strike a nerve?  Is there anything I can do to help this nerve to heal or lessen it's pain?  Please help me.  I have had many surgeries to my neck, and I am coping well, I just can't seem to find a way to relieve this symtom. it's there, it's constant, and I just want to manage it as I  manage my neck pain.

Thank You for your time

You are asking me for help and I hope I can really help you.
I really dont know why the cortisone injections are so widely used I can advice you to take more vitamin B complex and maybe Gabapentin
Best of luck
