I'm a 32 year old male that recently had a CT due to a dissected left carotid artery. There were 2 comments in the radiologist's report that interested me.
1) "There is polypoid mucosal inflammation in the left maxillary antrum, consistent with multiple mucous retention cysts"
2) Note is made of hypoplastic right A1 segment
What are mucous retention cysts, where were they found, and is this of concern? Are they common?
What is hypoplastic right a1 segment? Is it common? Should it cause me concern? Does this mean I have no backup flood flow in the case that the left side becomes occluded?
