You need a variety of factors to promote the onset of diabetes.
It involves your sugar intake, weight, genetic predisposition, and
amount of exercise. Honey on it's own is not what I would say is
a major contributor to diabetes. However, I would say there is little
nutritional value in consuming it in abundance. A bit every day is
likely not so bad, but do watch and monitor your blood sugar to make
sure you are not causing any spikes that are too high. I would use
honey in moderation.

Honey is a sugar, even though some say natural is better, and to some extent
honey is better. It still will/can raise sugar levels.
For use in ulcers and other assorted issues, the Manuka type from New Zealand
is superior, it comes in strengths for example of 100, 400, the larger the number
the more antibacterial activity it has.
This stuff I've used on Type 1 Diabetic wounds and they healed. I have to tell them
to NOT eat it though :)
