That's the interesting thing about this current interval training fad.  It seems to be a big seller for people who don't want to work out very long but get the same results.  My wife has started doing it, but I had to caution her to go more slowly -- she's had achilles tendon problems recently but started running for her interval training.  I suggested she move it to an elliptical machine or a bike and told her to start slowly, as interval training makes one prone to hamstring and calf muscle pulls.  But you know, almost all sports are essentially interval training, as they all involve stopping and then going all out.  I used to play basketball a lot, and you're run like crazy and then stop for a foul or an argument, and then go all out, and do this for hours!  And I did martial arts -- in sparring, you go all out for a few minutes, then stop, change opponents, and start all over again, or you do forms and then stop and stretch.  Sprinters and football players and baseball players and basketball players and soccer players and tennis players all train with interval training.  It's not new.  It's just got some slick merchandisers behind it now.  I just find that interesting.  At any rate, both cross fit and boxing are interval training, so I don't think this poster will gain anything by doing your particular program, Peak 6 or Peak 8 or Peak infinity.  Boxing training is interval training.  Cross fit is interval training.  I don't think exercise is this poster's problem -- maybe just patience is.

of course peak 6 won't help! Because It's peak 8. :>)
Peak 8 only takes 20 minutes.

Thanks for the correction, Gym.  Now, to the poster, about what Gym is proposing, it's interval training plus probably some other things, meaning a lot of aerobics.  Boxing and cross fit are also both aerobic and muscle building, so I don't think Peak 6 will do you any better than what you're doing for building fitness -- boxing and cross fit are both interval training in themselves, as there's a lot of stopping and then going all out and stopping and going all out in this training.  I'm just saying, you have a certain body type, and I'm assuming since you want to lose weight despite all this training that you don't have a really slim body type.  You can get slimmer through aerobics, but he more you work muscles, the more muscles you'll get, and they don't make you thin, they make you cut.  It's up to you.  Boxers come in all sizes -- featherweight to heavyweight -- if you're a heavyweight, you'll never be a lightweight.

Pax. I'm surprised at you!!  "muscle, which weighs a lot more than fat"
NO,NO,NO! A pound is a pound! So a pound of feathers weighs the same as
a pound of steel! What you meant to say I hope you meant to say was,
Muscle has a much greater density than fat, meaning it takes up less volume than an equal mass of fat.

The Peak 8 routine it will quickly raise your heart rate 8 times for very short bursts, with a cooling
down period in between. Ideally you’ll be sprinting or cycling full throttle for 30 seconds with a 90
second cool down in between each outburst.
This is the fastest way to lose fat and build muscle in the body. Peak 8 actually stimulates the growth
hormone in the body. I encourage you to visit Dr Mercola’s site to learn more about Peak 8 fitness
because I personally feel that it is one of the best ways to exercise, especially considering the speed at
which you can lose fat and build muscle.
I highly recommend you read this article and watch the videos on the page. It will give you all the
information you need to know about Peak 8 – Flood Your Body With This “Youth Hormone” In Just 20
Minutes.
What you eat after Peak 8 training does matter
It’s recommended that you do not eat sugar or carbohydrate for 2 hours after the Peak 8 exercise
because these foods can impact the release of the growth hormone in the body. The links are

Figure your heart rate by this formula
The Karvonen Formula is a mathematical formula that helps you determine your target heart rate zone.
The formula involves using your maximum heart rate (MHR) minus your age to come up with a target
heart rate range (which is a percentage of your MHR). Staying within this range will help you work
most effectively during your cardio workouts.
First thing in the morning before you get out of bed have a clock with a second hand and check your
resting heart rate then figure your rate by the Karvonen Formula
The following link will help you figure your heart rate by the Karvonen Formula.

You burn 30 percent more fat from doing cardio after a weights session as opposed to cardio on its own.
If you want to burn more learn to use the kettle bell.

Wouldn't it be nice to lose weight and build musclesat the same time?

Calories aren't that important.  Metabolism is.  The key is what you eat more than how much.  Salmon and flax oil are high in fat and calories, but you won't gain weight on them.  White flour isn't that high in calories, but it turns to sugar and then fat quickly if you don't burn it off.  And remember that boxing and cross-fit build muscle, which weighs a lot more than fat, so with the amount of training you're doing you might not lose a lot of weight, but it will shift to healthier weight and a leaner look.  Ever look at Serena Williams?  Very fit, best tennis player ever, but very muscular and not light.  She eats lighter women for breakfast on the court, though.  If you really want to just lose weight, do a lot of aerobics and don't do so much muscle work, not that it would be healthier but it does lead to more weight loss as it doesn't add as much muscle.
