Treating Anorexia

Looking for insight on my girl friends malnutrition. she has a history with anorexia but has managed it herself over the years.  We've been together 3 years now I've seen her success with routine eating but hardly cosistent.  She cycles to work, works 3-4 jobs and manages to find time to workout or swim 1-2 times a day plus consumin considerable amounts of water and eating light meals here and there.  I believe these habits contribute to her insecurity of gaining weight.  My first instinct was to coach her to eat more regularly and implement more carbs no I'm trying to have the right food groups she needs and enjoys available at her convenience with hopes that she will eat.  She is so different when well fed and has a good attitude towards over coming this disorder however many bad habits shes sustained through much of her life.  Looking forward to some feed back, thanks.

Muscle mass is from protein, not carbs.  Carbs are for quick energy and antioxidants, but the carb category includes a vast array of foods -- fruit, vegetables, grains (which are a blend of protein and carbs).  There are simple carbs and complex carbs.  Her weight may be what's right for her, but if she does put on muscle that will put on healthy weight.  Resistance training is how you put on muscle mass, but if she's working out twice a day and eating very light meals and she's not in training as a serious athlete, that could be a sign of continuing obsession about weight.  That amount of weight isn't that thin for a relatively short person, some people are thin, and eating less is healthier than eating too much, but as she's an individual the question is, what's her normal?  No way for us to know that, you know her better than we do.  Anyone you both know who has known her a long time you can talk to?

Yes the food she does eat is Healthy. She's 5'2" 100-105 pounds, i think she is under weight.  She wants the muscle mass but I think she needs to consume more carbohydrates to achieve it.  I also think she would benefit from more protein with all the strain she puts on her body through every day exercise.  For someone doing this much and of this weight what would be a good carb - protein daily goal?

Does she eat healthy meals?  Is she underweight?  Obviously she has tremendous energy, so it could be she's just fine.
