I keep checking and rechecking things

Im always checking things to make sure im right and correct, i always have this doubt that i probably made a mistake and didn't do it correct. by me checking all the time and rechecking am i feeding my OCD? i should stop checking?

yes, you will have to stop checking again and again because this is a compulsion in response to obsessive thoughts.

If you perform compulsion in response of obsession then more obsessive thoughts will hit you and then this cycle will keep on repeating.

Checking and reassurance is a compulsion?
yes these are the compulsions you do to control your anxiety in response to obsessive thoughts.

This is a cycle which never ends with obsessions and compulsions  going on.
When ever you experience obsessive thoughts you have to just ignore them, this is the best you can do.
