I have thought that I have had OCD tendencies my entire live, mostly making noises, but now I have started doing something else. I have started rubbing my head, almost massaging my scalp more often then not. I find that I am, as nasty and weird as it sounds, looking for dandruff to rub off. I still make noises from Vocal Tic Syndrome, I cough, but this has become more prominent. I don't know if this is similar to Trichotillomania, but it is getting quite annoying.

I go to a psychiatrist for my panic disorder, but I haven't seen her since these tendencies started. Also, she says my tics are just asthma.

Then it is definitely a problem.  You need to catch yourself when you are doing it and make a conscious effort to stop.  I'm wondering if this started from some sort of stress event in your life because that is usually when my OCD starts to act up.  Have you ever seen a pscyhologist for what you describe as your OCD tendencies?

Is the majority of your day spent massaging your scalp?
