Obsessions with people?

I'm not talking about just stalking their Facebook page. I'm talking about deliberately destroying their other relationships so it will look like I am the best thing for them. I first started having really obsessive behavior towards a friend in 6th grade. We quickly became best friends and sat by eachother on the bus and at lunch. We had a whole group of friends at lunch, but one by one I started whispering rumors to her. Soon I got her to become annoyed with all of them. I'm in 8th grade now and she stopped sitting with me. I was so devastated. I wrote down everything I did over summer break and was going to tell her everything. We're still friends, just not as close. Of she's looking for a seat I'll get really excited and motion for her to sit next to me but she'll sit with someone else. Sad haha. I have a new best friend and this relationship is less obsessive and we share a deeper friendship than my past one. Although I started obsessing over a guy I met over the Internet last year (smart I know). It's not a love obsession. I just wish so badly that he went to my school. He seems really cool and we talk every night. We tell eachother secrets and what we did that day and we both agree it cheers us up when we talk to eachother. He's not trying to sext me or anything like that, he genuinely acts like a friend towards me. But last week he got his iPod taken away and I went crazy. At first it wasn't so bad but then it just got alarming. I was writing out what I would say to him and strayed away from my real friends so I could think about him. How can I be less obsessive? >.<

I ask because now you have a very good friend who is somebody you don't even know in person and when you couldn't talk to him for a while, you were extremely bothered.  Almost like perhaps you like the anonymity aspect of the relationship.  Honestly, you should talk to your school counselor about this or better yet, talk to your parents so that they can get you into see a child psychologist.  This does not mean you are crazy or anything but that you are having a hard time dealing with relationships otherwise you wouldn't have written on the forum.

And yes, as a mother I will tell you that you should drop the conversation with this guy because there are a lot of crazies out there pretending to be teenagers but you already indicated you knew that this wasn't a good idea in retrospect.

I suppose I do. I mean I don't have very many friends but I think part of the reason is because I'm happy with my two friends and I can't be bothered with anyone else

I can't say for sure that this isn't a self-esteem issue.  Do you have trouble making friends at school?
