Advise on how to handle commiting someone

Any advise would be great, I am about to commit a 17 year with severe OCD, germaphobic, she has a 4 month old.  She has become a danger to her self as well as the baby, I am physically going to have to have her commited, and the baby cant go, she is going to completely lose it when I tell her this.  I dont want to lie to her, but if i tell her ahead of time she will not go.  What do i do?

You need to go more into detail for anyone to understand.I dont see how having OCD or having a fear of germs could make someone a danger to themselves and others.Might there be a underlying cause such as depression or bipolar?

I should add my OCD is the same as hers.  Is she breastfeeding or bottle feeding?

My advice is do not separate mother and baby there are places that have mother baby units to cope with this.    Can you explain in more detail whats happening?  I have severe OCD and I have two kids, how is she in danger of herself and the baby?
