Who knows?  I'm not sure what you're describing is OCD, but you gave only a brief description.  It sounds like he gets unwanted thoughts which happens to all anxiety sufferers and also to those who suffer from depression.  You can't have mental problems without unwanted thoughts.  But as to what's happening now, it could be too many things for anyone to isolate.  He should consult a physician and see if something is causing fatigue -- could be lots of things, like lack of exercise, poor eating habits, thyroid problems. blood sugar problems -- just a whole lot of things.  But some people have nothing wrong with them either mentally or physically but just don't take well to sitting around.  That's why a lot of folks have very active jobs and why lots of folks give up desk jobs, they just don't do well sitting around.  As I say, no way to know, but if this isn't how he normally is then a good thorough physical is a first step.  I know that both my wife and I are writers and both of us work in spurts, we can't sit and work for hours and hours as some are able to do.  Maybe your bro is like this as well.  Peace.

Thanks you for your kind reply and suggestion guidance , Yeah he had OCD and consultant had suggested medications long time back as I mentioned 10-12years ago. He is not that kind of a person who wants to roam around always .He is ok to sit at home . Actually wanted to know , is it extentended  version of OCD  or any other problems . Also he has memory issues forgets easily new learnt subjects but Old memory are intact . Also feeling tired ,sleepinees after reading ,working on PC for a hour or so which requires more concentration .So wanted to know any isssue with brain.
Again, who knows?  The reason I said it doesn't actually sound like OCD is just something I believe but others these days don't.  I only believe in classic Coke, so to speak, which is that true OCD is ritualistic behaviors you have to do or else you get really anxious.  The other kinds to me are just anxiety problems and are treated in a different way in therapy than true OCD.  But it's unlikely having OCD in and of itself would cause cognitive problems especially if this was a long time ago and that problem isn't there anymore.  It is possible that if he was on medication for a long time the meds are thought by some to cause such problems, but whether they last forever or go away is always in doubt.  There is some thought that long-term mental problems can cause Alzheimers or other dementia and some thought it doesn't, but it definitely doesn't do it in most people.  Can't tell you what's going on, can only say it can be a whole lot of things going on so trying to pin it on any one thing without a thorough check-up is impossible.  There are a host of cognitive problems that aren't OCD.  Lots of people with OCD or other anxiety problems do great work.  You just never know, life isn't a generalization, we're all individuals.  Best of luck to him.
