Does My 5 Year Old Need To Wear Her Glasses?

My five year old daughter has never complained of not being able to see.  She has never had any headaches.  She took a test an eye test.  The optometrist prescribed her Right Eye:  Spere +4.75, Cylinder -3.5, Axis 178....Left Eye:  +4.50, Cylinder -3.25, Axis 013...…..Everywhere that I have gone to look at glasses, I was told that the prescription is very high and they do not know how she got around without glasses......She has never bumped into anything....she received all A's in TK.  She never fell behind...….Is it necessary for her to wear these glasses?  Is it possible for a 5 year old to take an eye exam with correct outcome?
