Wrist Surgery

In March of 2008 I fell and fractured the radius and ulna in my left hand. Surgery was performed , and a volor plate and 8 screws were put in the radus.  At the time they were able to get the ulna back in place.  In August the Ulna started growning outward with much pain and swelling. In August of 2008 I had surgery on the Ulna. (Ulna Styloid ).
I am still having a lot of pain and swelling and have a hard time bending or turning my wrist. My surgeon tells me
it will take time. He has set me up for  24 weeks work hardening therapy which I have a very hard time doing. The pain is really bad..
Should I be having these many problems with this type of surgery? Should I perhaps seek another opinion?
I don't know what to do..

Help !!

In response to my prior post that you answered.

The Ulna surgery on my left hand has almost been 6 months already. My surgeon has just started me on 24 weeks of theropy. I have only gone twice so far.
My concern is why I should be having all this pain, stiffness and not being able to use my hand. The ulna bone is swelled, painfull and starting to grow out to the side of the wrist .  I have a rough  time with rotation.  Should this be happening after six months?

Right now it sounds like you're still doing the therapy your surgeon ordered.  He outlined a course of 6 months, and you haven't reached that point yet.  Certainly, I wouldn't be concerned until you reach the 6 month mark, since your surgeon outlined a 6 month course at the very start.
