21 year old just diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter disease

Is it possible for a 21 year old physically active male to get Osgood Schlatter, or does the disease only occur on adolescents?

If I have the disease:
Will I grow out of the disease like most adolescents do, or will I need surgery?

Thanks!
