Broke my wrist, is surgery needed?

I broke my wrist last weekend and got a temporary cast put on. The PA I met with said surgery is a possibility but it would be up to the orthopedist, though I won't see him until Monday. Are there any orthopedists on here? I'm curious if my break warrants a surgery or it can be healed on its own. Here is an x-ray: https://imgur.com/a/P4tIqRP

I can't read your x-ray, but here's some info that might help while you wait for your appt or for others to respond. Mostly, it depends on the break, if there are any loose bone fragments, or any damage to ligaments or blood vessels as well.

I hope you heal quickly!
